Rochester New York Chapter - Research Change Location

- Home

The Alzheimer's Association is the world leader in Alzheimer research and support. Since 1982, the Association has funded more than $165 million in Alzheimer research to nearly 1,400 projects, making it the largest private funder.

The outlook is encouraging for this devastating disease. We are gaining significant ground in the understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. Prescription medicine is now available to treat mild to moderate symptoms. For the first time ever, our science advisors report that with sufficient investment in research, preventing Alzheimer's disease may become an achievable goal within the next 10 years.

The Alzheimer’s Association Rochester Chapter is a clearinghouse for information and referral to local clinical and drug trial studies, and is a referral source for the University of Rochester Memory Disorders Assessment Clinic for consultation and diagnosis.
