Programs & Services
A network of assistance is essential to coping with Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's Association of Rochester, NY provides caring and knowledgeable people, programs and services to help.
Information/Referral/Consultation & Counseling
The Information/Referral/Consultation & Counseling Services provide confidential services to individuals, families and professionals, helping them obtain information, referrals and materials on an on-going basis. Contact Deborah.Houck@alz.org
Learning Institute
The Learning Institute provides dementia education for all caregivers. Faculty consists of noted and respected local experts in dementia. Contact Sharon.Boyd@alz.org
Safe Return
Safe Return is a nationwide identification, support and registration program working at the community level. Safe Return provides assistance whether a person becomes lost locally or far from home. Assistance is available 24 hours, every day, whenever a person is lost or found. The one-time registration fee of $40 covers an engraved identification bracelet or necklace, iron-on clothes labels, caregiver checklist, key chain, lapel pin, refrigerator magnet, stickers and wallet cards. Support Groups
The Alzheimer's Association provides a variety of support groups throughout its nine county region. Support groups provide individuals impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders an opportunity to gather information, find support and benefit from interaction with others sharing like experiences. The Marie C. & Joseph C. Wilson Library
The Marie C. & Joseph C. Wilson Library provides a wide variety of dementia specific materials for family and professional caregivers. Materials are available to lend and for purchase. Contact Deborah.Houck@alz.org
Volunteer Services
The Volunteer Services of the Alzheimer's Association support the impact areas of Program & Services, Development and Public Policy. Advocacy
The Alzheimer's Association develops, implements and advocates for initiatives that take into consideration the needs of persons with dementia and their caregivers within our local communities as well as at the State and Federal levels. Contact Sharon.Boyd@alz.org
